Documents you will need: A valid Federal or State photo ID. A second form of ID is sometimes required, for example, a military ID, Social Security card; U.S. Passport; or other government photo ID. Some documents may require witnesses in addition to the notarization. In some cases, the notary may act as a witness. Subject to availability, we may be able to provide a third-party witness at an additional fee.

State law requires that the signing party appear in person before the notary. A notary public may not perform a notarization by fax machine or email. We are not attorneys licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado and may not give legal advice nor accept fees for legal advice.

We may decline notary service if the signer is confused, not fully aware, incoherent/unresponsive, or does not have proper ID. In these cases, the appointment fee is due even if the notarization cannot be completed.
